To market the UniversityâÂÂs innovations Consultancy The Company undertakes these objectives and functions in line with the above objectives by offering products and services through various business activities.Key Duties and Responsibilities Facilitating case management for failed institutions including witness preparation, pre-trial briefings, and prosecuting or defending court matters filed for and against the failed institutions. Managing the panel of external legal service providers for failed institutions and assessing legal fees for High Court matters to ensure effective cost management. Advising on legal strategies for failed institutions. Managing disputes affecting failed institutions through litigation, negotiations, mediation, and arbitration processes. Managing conveyancing functions for failed institutions through reviewing land dispositions and property transactions. Drafting and reviewing contracts, Memoranda of Understanding, Service Level Agreements, and other legal instruments for failed institutions. Tracking legislative developments in Parliament and preparing impact opinions on Corporation operations. Updating and maintaining documentation to support Quality Management Systems and performance standards implementation. Managing the takeover, custody, and administration of legal documents and securities from failed institutions. Implementing preparatory legal services to facilitate orderly winding up of institutions under liquidation. Developing legal opinions on debt negotiation strategies and asset recovery proposals for institutions under Asset Management and Liquidation. Monitoring implementation of recommended legal strategies by Liquidation Agents of troubled institutions. Undertaking the takeover of legal documents and securities of failed institutions. Developing opinions on Debt Negotiations and Asset Recovery proposals. Requirements For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: Cumulative period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience three (3) of which must have been in the grade of Senior Legal Officer or in a comparable position. Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) or any other relevant qualification from a recognized and accredited institution. Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid Practicing Certificate. Membership to the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and in good standing. Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution. Proficiency in computer applications. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
