It commenced as a graduate school of theology known as the Catholic Higher Institute of Eastern Africa (CHIEA). The Institute (CHIEA) was founded in 1984 by the regional ecclesiastical authority known as the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences of Eastern Africa (AMECEA). Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia are the member countries of AMECEA.Job Description Full-time academic position in the Department of Computer and Information Studies, Faculty of Science. Teach, conduct research, and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Qualifications & Requirements PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field. At least 3 years university-level teaching experience. At least two refereed journal articles, one textbook, or two book chapters. Proficiency in computer packages. Key Duties & Responsibilities Teach at least 10 unique units per academic year; conduct research, publish and participate in seminars; supervise student research; provide quality continuous assessment and feedback; participate in Departmental, Faculty and University meetings and community service.
