To market the UniversityâÂÂs innovations Consultancy The Company undertakes these objectives and functions in line with the above objectives by offering products and services through various business activities.Job Summary The Director will be responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for the overall coordination and management of the infrastructure and application functions. Key Duties and Responsibilities Formulating, implementing and reviewing ICT policies, standards, strategies and procedures for effective deployment and management of technology resources. Leading adoption of innovative ICT solutions including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and business process re-engineering to enhance service delivery and address global trends. Overseeing business transformation office, enterprise architecture, solutions design, and selecting business application systems. Coordinating development, deployment and maintenance of core banking systems, ERP, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence applications, and systems for institutions in receivership/liquidation. Overseeing ICT infrastructure deployment, information security management system (ISMS) based on ISO standards, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and 27001:2022 standards. Implementing and maintaining backup systems, disaster recovery sites, and business continuity planning to ensure data confidentiality, integrity and availability. Planning, managing and providing project management support for ICT initiatives including data migration, systems testing, piloting, commissioning and user acceptance. Creating linkages with external agencies and government entities to ensure adherence to GoK ICT standards in engaging system vendors and consultants. Providing expertise in enterprise data governance, business intelligence, analytics, and data science to enhance business outcomes and organizational effectiveness. Ensuring ICT systems meet Data Protection Act 2019 requirements and conducting impact assessments as needed. Supervising, coaching, mentoring and developing departmental staff while fostering ethical practices and maintaining a motivated team. Overseeing delivery of annual performance contracts, strategic plans, and departmental work plans and budgets. Developing and implementing citizen service delivery charter, managing complaints and requests for information, and maintaining corporate intranet and web portals. Ensuring efficient identification, acquisition, maintenance, inventory, security and disposal of ICT assets, and coordinating timely renewal of hardware and software licenses. Managing day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the ICT Directorate. Requirements For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: Cumulative period of fifteen (15) years’ relevant work experience five (5) of which should have been in the grade of Assistant Director and above, ICT or in a comparable position. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: - Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited institution. Professional Certifications from a recognized institution such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Business Analyst (CBAP), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MSSD) or any other relevant and recognized certification. Certificate in Database Management (Oracle, SQL, DB2 or its equivalent), Information Security (CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM or its equivalent), Service Support Operations (ITIL, COBIT or its equivalent), Network Administration (CCNA, HCNA, N+, HP or its equivalent), System Administration (MCSE, Linux, Unix or its equivalent), or Software Development (Java, Visual Studio, Python, Oracle, or its equivalent) or relevant certification from an accredited examination body. Certificate in Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution. Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing. A valid practicing certificate from a relevant professional body where applicable. Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance and results. Exhibited a thorough understanding of national goals, policies, objectives, and ability to relate them in ICT functions.
