1968 Senior Financial Business Analyst About The Company Our client is a leading global technology company. This role sits within a critical Financial Systems Support & Operations group, acting as the central connective tissue between core software engineering, corporate finance, and business operations. Role Overview As a Senior Financial Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the Financial Systems Support & Operations group. This position focuses on maintaining operational excellence in production systems while driving strategic transformations in financial processes. What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities) System Operations: Manage day-to-day billing support workflows and resolve complex financial system inquiries. Incident Management: Lead the incident triage process to ensure technical bugs and issues are swiftly analyzed, prioritized, and routed to engineering teams. Data & Root Cause Analysis: Perform deep-dive root cause analysis on billing anomalies and execute database corrections when necessary. Data Reconciliation: Write optimized SQL queries to extract, analyze, validate, and reconcile business data across the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) lifecycles. Strategic Initiatives: Lead operational initiatives, including architectural rollouts and the implementation of annual billing contracts. Process Optimization: Design, document, and iterate on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to transition manual tasks into scalable, automated solutions. Financial Reporting: Support month-end close activities and track key financial reporting metrics. What We Are Looking For (Required Qualifications) Experience: 4+ years of professional experience as a Systems Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Business Analyst within a Finance, Accounting, or Billing domain. Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Accounts Receivable (AR) lifecycle, including credit memos, adjustments, and general ledger synchronization. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in writing SQL scripts for data extraction and data reconciliation. Data Tools: Expert-level skill in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (advanced functions, data modeling, and analysis). Documentation: Proven experience creating comprehensive SOPs and translating complex business constraints into technical system rules. Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have Qualifications) Familiarity with internal financial tools and localized reporting layers. Experience with Zuora subscription management and invoicing matrices. Exposure to global payment processing systems such as Adyen. Knowledge of or curiosity about AI-assisted workflows to improve documentation and analysis efficiency. Work Modality & Location Remote – Latin America: Candidates can be based in any LATAM country with at least 6 hours of time zone overlap with Central Time (CT).
