More info is available at PendaHealth.com or Facebook: Penda Health.Role Summary: The Part-Time COHO at Penda Health plays a critical role in promoting oral health by providing dental services, patient education on proper oral hygiene, and supporting the dentist with diagnostic and preventive care measures. This position is key to preventing dental diseases and ensuring patients maintain optimal oral health. Responsibilities: Conduct dental examinations, diagnose common oral conditions, and provide appropriate treatment and preventive care. Promote oral health through patient education and preventive care initiatives. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate oral health into overall patient care strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and uphold strict standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols. Manage dental supplies and equipment to support smooth clinic operations. Participate in community outreach and oral health awareness programs. Stay updated on advancements in dental practice and contribute to continuous quality improvement. Key requirements and attributes  Diploma in Community Oral Health or Bachelor of Science in Oral Health from a recognized institution. Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC). Minimum of 2 years’ post-internship experience in a clinical dental setting. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, ethical practice, and patient safety. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and support patient growth initiatives.
