Our approach to care is guided by our core principles of Quality, Access, Impact and Relevance.​Job Summary The Nutritionist will assess, diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions with dietary therapy, specially tailored to each individual in the IP/OP setting and use the most up to date evidence based health and scientific research information on food, health and disease and translate into practical guidance to enable patients to make appropriate food and lifestyle choices. Key Responsibilities Assessment of the status of patients before providing a nutritional care plan Plan, nutritional intervention in the holistic care of patients Organize the provision of the correct therapeutic diet Educate patients/family/ caregiver on their therapeutic diets in both inpatient and outpatient areas Actively Participate and contribute in the multidisciplinary activities in the institution and the community Participate in the hospital quality improvement and patient safety program agenda Collect data on departmental quality indicators to populate the quality variance report (QVR). Take part in departmental quality improvement and patient safety program Take part in clinical care program certification activities in the hospital Requirements  BSc in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics Registered with Kenya Nutritionists and Dietitians Institute (KNDI) A valid practicing license is mandatory Work experience in a clinical setting after undergraduate qualification. Proficiency in computer applications. Experience in medical nutrition therapy especially enteral and parenteral nutrition Proactive, creative, innovative, analytical, team player Discipline, honesty, time conscious, willingness to learn Problem solving and decision-making skills
