In 1998, CURE International, in cooperation with the African Inland Church, opened the AIC-CURE International Hospital in Kijabe, Kenya. Along with being CURE’s first hospital, CURE Kenya was Africa’s first orthopedic pediatric teaching hospital for children with disabilities. The 30-bed hospital provides care for children suffering from a wide range of orthopedic conditions, such as clubfoot, burn contractures, osteomyelitis, and other acquired or congenital conditions. The hospital also conducts mobile clinics to identify children in remote areas who can be treated at the hospital and to provide follow-up care for those who have received surgery. Located in the Rift Valley city of Kijabe, the hospital attracts patients from every region of the country. Through the training of surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals, CURE Kenya aims to improve the country’s overall capacity to treat disabled children.Essential Duties Compiling of assigned donor reports on time. Program Officer will make sure that they understand all the donor needs in accordance to the various projects being implemented and make sure that quality and compressive reports are submitted to the donors in time. Following up on assigned patient-donor-funded programs and making sure that all requirements by CURE or the program beneficiary are met and on time. Coordinating with the relevant teams to make sure that all content for reports I.e. Any material need for verification of activities or evidence of implementation is available and on time. Helping collect patient information for profile building. Donors requiring profiles build and submitted to them have a guideline of requirements. The Program Officer will be responsible for the collection compilation and submission of those profile as per the guideline given by the donor. Alternating with the rest of the team for all donor and communication related work at clinic. The Program Officer will be required to travel to clinic often to do patient follow up, identification of new patients requiring financial support and reporting of mobile clinic activity. Updating profiles. This will include one on one conversation with beneficiaries documenting their progress and sometimes visiting beneficiaries at the home to document impact of programs or/ and as required by the various donor projects In-charge of all online donor correspondence making sure all information online is updated. In-charge of all quality activities in relation to this position as per the Hospital Standards. Helping with the documentation of all Functions/operations at the Hospital. Education/Experience Requirements Diploma/Degree in Project Management or related field, or equivalent work experience. Very good Photography, Videography and writing skills. Very good knowledge of the mentioned social media platforms and all their features. At least Three years of work experience in a similar position. Working with children or a Hospital set-up will be an added advantage KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to be creative Excellent writing skills Good problem solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to relate well with kids. COMPETENCIES: Social Skills- Must be able to relate well will all of partners online and all our kids and guardians that he has to get stories from Visual creativity - Abel to come up with virtual Idea and actualize them with a camera and editing software. Integrity - Ability to be tactful, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment; prevent inappropriate behavior by coworkers; give proper credit to others; handle all situations honestly.
