Mission To transform the livelihood of the people of Kisumu county on a foundation of integrity through accountable, efficient and effective leadership that invokes participation and pursuit of quality services, for a prosperous county that is a harbor of excellence Requirements for appointments - For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: - Kenyan Citizenship Cumulative service period of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Principal Medical Officer or in a comparable position, Bachelors Degree in the following discipline: - Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (BChB) - or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution, Masters Degree in the following disciplines: - Master of Medicine and Surgery (MChB) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine (M. Med Family Medicine) from a recognized institution. Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution Registration Certificate by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Counci!-  {KMPDC); Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council (KMPDC); Retention in the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council register; Specialist recognition certificate from the medical practitioners and Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Council; Professional indemnity; and Proficiency in computer applications skills.
