We continue to strive to change realities in Kenya because Liberty is not just our name; it’s what we do!Job Summary Supervise Group Life underwriters to ensure prudent underwriting and effective administration of group life schemes in accordance with the laid down procedures and regulation. Key Responsibilities Coordinate processing of renewals, including advising medical requirements to customers Coordinate processing of supplementary costings Ensure prompt communication of costings (new entrants and exits) Review new member details whenever there are changes to scheme membership to ensure accurate data capture. Ensure prompt communication of costings (new entrants and exits) Support retention of business by ensuring adherence to SLAs Promote relationship management with intermediaries and clients. Ensure high level of accuracy in costings and debit/credit notes. Generate reports for policies due for renewal to ensure timely renewals. Attend to queries and concerns from customers and intermediaries to ensure timely resolving. Prepare reports as and when required in a timely manner for timely submission. Prepare credit life quotations and customers onboarding in a timely manner and accurately for timely communication to customers. Prepare policy documents, policy endorsements renewal endorsements and share with customers timely Prudent medical and financial underwriting. Preparation and submission of accurate reinsurance returns on quarterly basis. Seeking facultative reinsurance for customers with sum assureds above treaty limits Debt management and collection of premiums Qualifications Bachelors’ degree in a Business-related field Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, AIIK) Experience At least 4 years’ experience in management of group life schemes Key Performance Measures Accurate member details Timely processing of supplementary costings Timely communication to members Timeliness in the raising of debit/credit notes Timely dispatch of customer statements Timely preparation of reports Maintain suspense items at desired levels Premium collection within grace period Competencies In depth understanding of insurance operations and concepts Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements Knowledge of claims procedures Effective business management skills Demonstrable commercial and financial management experience Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills Customer service skills
