The National Gender Equality Commission is a constitutional Commission established by an Act of Parliament in August 2011, as a successor commission to the Kenya National Human Rights and Equality Commission pursuant to Article 59 of the Constitution. NGEC derives its mandate from Articles 27, 43, and Chapter Fifteen of the Constitution; and section 8 of NGEC Act (Cap. 15) of 2011, with the objectives of promoting gender equality and freedom from discrimination.REF: NGEC/HR/7/3/2026 Remuneration (Basic Salary): Ksh. 57, 984 – 83,849.00 House Allowance Ksh. 16,500 Commuter Allowance Ksh. 5,000 Annual Leave: 30 Working days per financial year Medical Cover: As existing in the Commission Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT For appointment to this position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications: A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (Plain); A Diploma in Records/Information Management, information science or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution; Computer Skills; and Met the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
