Kiambu County is one of the 47 counties in the Republic of Kenya. It is located in the central region and covers a total area of 2,543.5 Km2 with 476.3 Km2under forest cover according to the 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census. Kiambu County borders.Duties and Responsibilities: Classteaching; Role modelling,guidance and counselling, mentoring and motivation of the learners; Preparing reports: Ensuring the safety and security of thelearners; Identifying, initiating, developing and facilitating play learning activities that will enable learners enjoy living and learning through play; Developing relevant play/learning materials for all learners; Preparing and developing schemes of work, lesson plans and daily programmes of activities, assessment and evaluation of learners' progress and keeping professional records. Requirements for appointment Kenya Certificate ofSecondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade C (Plain), or its approved equivalent; OR Kenya Certificateof Secondary Education (KCSE] minimum grade D+ (Plus], or its approved equivalent, plus Certificate in EarlyChildhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or Ministryof Education or its approved equivalent; Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or its approved equivalent: Registered by the Teachers Service Commission; A Certificate in Computer Applications; Two (2] years of relevant work experience; 7. Satisfy the requirements of ChapterSix of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
