The role will be responsible for managing customer relationships across East Africa, specific product lines, or market segments through the development and strengthening of relationships with existing and prospective customers, as well as the sales team. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve established sales targets while ensuring profitable and sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities Execute sales strategies and plans for assigned territories and market segments, including account management, pricing, sales forecasting, budgeting, and visit planning. Identify, develop, and grow new business opportunities and market applications in line with the company’s marketing strategy. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, key account management, complaint resolution, and effective customer support Conduct market analysis and provide timely reports on market trends, customer activities, business opportunities, and sales performance. Lead customer negotiations and provide technical assistance to ensure customer satisfaction and successful business outcomes. Collaborate with the local sales team and management on strategic decisions, while supporting product development through market feedback and insights. Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science, Business, or a related field. Minimum 3 – 4 years’ experience in specialty chemicals or additives sales within the plastics industry. Proven experience selling additives and raw materials for plastics manufacturing, including fillers, stabilizers, resins, compounds, masterbatches, or performance chemicals. Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and applications across various industries. Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and consistently achieve sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills with willingness to travel across East Africa.
