Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join Identify Africa. The ideal

candidate will have strong experience in backend development using PHP/Laravel, modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js, and hands-on experience with AWS and secure application development. This role involves building scalable systems, improving deployment pipelines, integrating APIs, and contributing to compliance-driven and AI-powered products.

Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop, maintain, and improve applications using PHP and Laravel

  • Build and maintain frontend features using React or Next.js

  • Design, integrate, and maintain APIs and backend services

  • Work within existing systems and codebases to implement enhancements and fixes

  • Support deployments, builds, and testing through CI/CD pipelines

  • Manage and maintain AWS-based infrastructure and environments

  • Implement and uphold application security best practices

  • Collaborate with designers using Figma to translate designs into functional products

  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and improve reliability

Contribute to AI-driven and compliance-focused product initiatives

Required Skills & Experience ****

  • 4–5 years of software development experience

  • Strong experience with PHP and Laravel

  • Experience with React and Next.js

  • Good understanding of APIs and backend integrations

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud deployments

  • Strong understanding of software and infrastructure security measures

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

  • Ability to understand and work effectively on existing codebases

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn

Nice to Have** **

Experience with Python and Fast API

Understanding of Node.js and modern backend tooling

Exposure to compliance, RegTech, or GDPR-related systems

Interest in AI-powered products and automation

Experience working with Figma and design collaboration workflows

Start-up or fast-paced product development experience
