Duties and Responsibilities

● Lead, mentor, and line-manage all PE teachers, swimming instructors, and external coaches to ensure high-quality instructional delivery.

● Develop and implement the annual Sports & PE strategic plan aligned with the school vision and calendar.

● Create a comprehensive yearly sports calendar (PE, swimming, galas, competitions, inter-school events and friendlies).

● Conduct regular lesson observations and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain teaching standards.

● Ensure 100% curriculum coverage according to school standards.

● Develop and standardise schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment frameworks.

● Plan and organize after-school sports trainings. 

● Organise and coordinate sports events including but not limited to inter-house competitions, annual sports days, swimming galas, and inter-school tournaments.

● Ensure proper logistics (venues, equipment, transport, fixtures).

● Maintain accurate sports inventory and ensure equipment is safe and properly stored.

● Communicate sports schedules to staff and parents.

● Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

● Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.

● Another teaching subject is an added advantage.

● Swimming qualification/lifeguard certification (preferred).

● Coaching certifications (added advantage).

● Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in an International School.

● Leadership experience preferred.

● TSC Registration.
