Pembroke House is a unique British boarding school in the heart of Kenya. We are a small, multicultural school of around 200 pupils, and cater for boys and girls aged 2 - 13 years. We have a 90 year history of private education in East Africa, and our focus is on developing well-rounded, happy, independent, polite and confident pupils. Headteacher The Role We are looking to appoint a Headteacher who will: Build on Pembroke House’s long‑established reputation for academic ambition, pastoral excellence and all‑round education. Lead with clarity, warmth and purpose, inspiring pupils and staff alike. Champion the school’s boarding ethos and vibrant extra‑curricular life, ensuring that every child is known, challenged and supported. Strengthen the school’s strategic direction in partnership with the Pembroke House Council (the Board of Governors). Uphold and model the school’s values of curiosity, courage, spirit of adventure, compassion, resilience and integrity - qualities fostered through the unique Pembroke experience. We welcome applications from current Heads as well as senior leaders seeking their first headship.
