The Kenya High Commission in Canberra was established in 1984 to consolidate and deepen Kenya-Australia and Kenya-New Zealand relations. It is thus, accredited to the Commonwealth of Australia and New Zealand.Requirements/Qualifications Fluency in English. Good communication skills, pleasant and positive attitude. College/ High School Diploma/ Certificate.  Police Check Certificate. Flexibility and ability to adapt. Knowledge of and experience in cleaning services. Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining high standards of general cleanliness within the Chancery Ensuring that the consular reception is clean, well-kept and flowers replenished/ properly maintained. Cleaning of the Chancery, both inside and outside, including, sweeping, tidying, vacuuming, dusting, polishing and sanitizing offices, toilets, showers/ bathtubs, hallways, furniture, fixtures, carpet, rugs, floor, windows, mirrors, glass services, ounters, and sinks. Cleaning and maintaining the Mission driveway and watering plants Disposal of the Chancery garbage appropriately. Preparing and serving tea and refreshments to members of staff and guests. Assisting with catering services during official functions Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the High Commissioner and other authorized officers.
