About the role The Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting core finance functions across treasury, tax, revenue accounting, and reporting for multiple entities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across different workstreams, proactively manages responsibilities, can manage multiple processes while maintaining strong internal controls, and ensures timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities

Treasury & Cashflow ManagementSupport cashflow tracking and forecasting across entities Monitor daily cash positions and flag liquidity risks Assist in managing fund movements and ensuring optimal cash utilisation

PRF Processing & OversightReview and process Procurement Request Forms (PRFs), ensuring completeness and accuracy Ensure all PRFs are properly supported, approved, and aligned with budgets Track PRF status and follow up on outstanding approvals

Tax ComplianceManage and support tax processes across Apollo Agriculture entities, including: VAT & Reverse VAT calculations and filings Withholding Tax computations and submissions Statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and equivalents across entities) Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns Maintain proper documentation and support for all tax submissions

Revenue AccountingPerform revenue calculations and bookings in line with company policies Ensure accuracy and completeness of revenue data across systems Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue reporting

AML & Supplier Due DiligenceConduct AML checks for new and existing suppliers Ensure supplier onboarding complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for all due diligence performed

Month-End & Year-End ReportingSupport month-end and year-end close processes Prepare schedules and reconciliations to support financial reporting Assist in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial data during close cycles

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 3–5 years’ relevant experience in a finance or accounting role Progress toward or completion of professional qualification (CPA/ACCA) preferred Strong understanding of tax, compliance, and accounting principles Experience working in multi-entity or multi-country environments is an advantage Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
