Role Description:-
Responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of a company's supply chain, from raw material procurement to customer delivery, ensuring efficient flow of goods and meeting strategic objectives.
Responsible for the efficiency of the department to meet the highest expectation of the Units in terms of maximizing revenue and minimizing losses. Management and storage to ensure that cost for supplies are at their lowest possible, and supplies are well managed for optimum profitability.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
▪ Maintain order, punctuality and discipline in the stores at all times.
▪ Manage all Stores staff; ensure that they are all functioning in accordance to the Stores SOPs and their various job descriptions.
▪ Responsible for storage of both food & beverage and operational stock; safe custody against waste, spoilage or pilferage.
▪ Avoid stock out of inventory.
▪ Keep inventory at lean levels (not tying up excess of working capital).Maintain daily records of inventory purchased.
▪ Maintain accurate bin cards. Ensure order and cleanliness in all of the storage areas (shelves, fridges, freezers, wardrobes/ closets etc.).
▪ Constantly seek best cost and quality of items.
▪ Issue inventory to kitchen and bar while maintaining proper records of stock movement; ensure all requisitions are signed by proper department representatives; ensure the quantity requested and the quantity issued always matches.
▪ Participate in all stock take, weekly to monitor purchase requisition and end month physical stock.
▪ Ensure that all stocks received have the supporting documentation.
▪ Invoices are posted on time.
▪ Proper arrangement and labeling of the stocks to reduce wastage and spoilage.

Supplier Management
▪ Troubleshoot any vendor delivery issues and oversee/follow up on the return process.
▪ Ensure requisition done on time for a timely delivery.

Cost Management
▪ Ensure that all effort is made and measures are taken to lower and maintain the recommended cost of sales.
▪ Creation of stock items in inventory management system as standard menu items or customized events menu.
▪ Provide accurate and timely reports as detailed to you.
▪ Liaise with other HODs appropriately for the overall goal of reducing food cost and increasing revenues.
▪ Ensure there is proper record of all meat and other items taken for portioning.
▪ Verify all supporting documents to ensure that they tally with actual stock received.

Compliance
▪ Ensure that all Kenya City Council requirements for food storage are met.
▪ Ensure all suppliers are compliant with KRA regulations, they issue right invoices indicating the company’s pin number and invoices are issued through E-tims.
▪ Keep accurate and updated data in the relevant systems.
▪ Follow up on documentation of after-hours issues ensuring it is in accordance with internal controls and procedures.

General
▪ Conduct physical stock audits on a regular basis as advised and the physical count to be tallied with the inventory count from the hot soft system. Any differences between the manual count and HSS software have to be investigated and the information to be given to the management.
▪ Processing daily transfers to outlets.
▪ Ensure that the right documents are used to make requisition.
▪ Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses in a systematic manner.
▪ To communicate and work closely with all relevant departmental heads to ensure that all issues relating to proper stores management are well addressed, communicated and handled.
▪ To perform any and every duty which relates to the highest level of stores management as to be reasonably expected. And that which falls under specific instruction given by the properly constituted authority.

Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Membership with KISM will be an added advantage
• Over 5 years of experience in the relevant role within the hospitality industry
• 3 years of supervisory experience, leading teams effectively
