Shirika Sacco Society Limited was registered on 24th April, 1969. At the time it’s members came from the Ministry of Co-operative Development (which is the parent ministry), although we have since widened our scope to include all other government ministries, all cooperative related organizations, and other reputable public organizations. Overall Responsibilities: The Registry Intern will assist in maintaining and organizing records, ensuring compliance with the Sacco's policies and regulatory requirements. The intern will gain practical experience in records management and administrative functions Key Responsibilities: Classify and label documents and file them accordingly. Open new member files and dispose of old files in accordance with the registry policy. Maintain up-to-date databases and systems for records management. Act as the custodian of all files and documents in the registry. Retrieve files from databases, systems, and archives to fulfill record requests. Maintain accurate records of document orders and movements. Archive manual and electronic records/information and ensure preservation of Sacco's memory and heritage. Respond to customer queries related to records in person, via email, post, or phone. Prepare correspondences and reports related to registry activities. Assist in implementing digitization of Sacco's records management. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Records Officer. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Basic knowledge of records management principles and practices. Familiarity with electronic document and records management systems. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Academic and Professional Qualifications: Completed a degree or diploma in Records/Information/Library Science/Archives or a related field. Must have graduated in the year 2019 or later
