Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) At least three years teaching and research experience at a university. Relevant Work experience in Industry Registered and licensed to practice by the Relevant Professional Body. An earned PhD degree qualification in the relevant area from a recognized/accredited university OR being registered/registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree qualification will be an added advantage KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to: Dean, Medical School Duties and responsibilities: Deliver lectures and facilitate learning sessions in the assigned areas of specialization, when units are available, in accordance with the approved curriculum and course outline. Prepare and submit teaching materials, lesson plans, and learning resources for assigned courses in a timely manner. Administer Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs), assignments, practical assessments, and examinations as scheduled. Set, invigilate, and mark examinations and submit results within the stipulated timelines. Provide students with academic guidance, mentorship, and support in their areas of study. Ensure effective delivery of course content through appropriate teaching methodologies and learner engagement techniques. Maintain accurate student attendance records, assessment records, and academic progress reports as required by the University. Keep abreast of developments and emerging trends within the relevant academic or professional field to enrich teaching and learning. Participate in curriculum review and academic quality assurance activities when called upon. Engage in scholarly and professional activities including research, publications, conferences, seminars, or professional practice where applicable. Observe and comply with University policies, academic regulations, and professional standards during the period of engagement. Undertake any other academic-related duties assigned by the Dean or Head of Department from time to time.
