Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.Key Responsibilities: Managing data, including data entry. Receiving and directing the participants in the field. Helping the local participants understand the research in detail. Administering questionnaires to the participants in the field. Mobilizing people to take part in the research when needed. Helping the rest of the team understand the community participants' views. Ensuring proper storage of all the data collected from the field. Helping the rest of the team with any work as it arises, for example, sample sorting. Assist with project outreach and the dissemination of research findings. Vacancy Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other relevant data-associated discipline Mandatory Knowledge in data collection, data entry, archival, and retrieval will be an added advantage Added Advantage Must be computer literate Mandatory Planning skills Mandatory Communication and reporting skills Mandatory Interpersonal skills Mandatory Team player Mandatory
