These stoves have helped 1,000,000+ beneficiaries save $39 million in fuel expenditures and 626,221 tons of wood while reducing indoor air pollution by 65%. BURN currently sells ~10,000 stoves per month and intend to double sales by the end of 2017.About the role Burn is dfor a highly analytical and detail-oriented R&D Lab Analyst Intern to support product testing, data analysis, and laboratory operations within the Research & Development team. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct lab tests on current BURN products, products in the R&D pipeline, competitors’ products, and new cookstove fuel performance, documenting and analyzing the results. Assist in field data collection and product monitoring activities. Manage datasets of test results. Assist in maintaining and refining testing methodologies, safety protocols, procedures, etc. Ensure that all safety guidelines and 5S are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment. Maintain lab equipment and assist in keeping inventories of laboratory supplies. Assist in preparation of stove demos. Other activities as needed. Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a physical science field. Experience working in a lab testing environment. Experience in managing data and interacting with Excel for data analysis and reporting. Strong mindset for continuous improvement. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Highly organized, punctual, and professional. Proactive attitude and takes initiative in problem-solving.
