Responsibilities Diagnose, treat, and manage various medical conditions in both companion and farm animals. Perform professional surgical procedures and execute routine veterinary interventions. Conduct comprehensive physical examinations to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Prescribe appropriate medications and administer essential vaccinations for herd and pet health. Manage emergency situations and provide high-level critical care for acute cases. Interpret complex laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and clinical findings. Advise clients on preventive healthcare, specialized nutrition, and general animal welfare. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and clinical reports for all patients. Supervise and mentor veterinary officers, interns, and clinical support staff. Ensure strict compliance with veterinary regulations, safety standards, and facility protocols. Participate in community outreach programs, farm visits, and animal welfare initiatives. Requirements Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) or an equivalent professional qualification. Registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) as a Surgeon. Demonstrated expertise in clinical diagnostics and veterinary surgical procedures. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team engagement. Proven ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively within a clinical environment. High level of computer literacy with proficiency in digital record-keeping and clinical reporting.
