The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-Habitat, is the UN agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. The Urban Economy Branch of UN-Habitat has the mandate to promote local capabilities of local governments to develop financial instruments to keep pace with the demands of rapid urbanization. The Urban Economy Branch has the mandate to promote plans and provide support for more efficient, socially inclusive, better integrated and connected cities that foster sustainable urban development.Duties and Responsibilities Maintain regular engagement with Dadaab–Hagadera Municipality, Garissa County Government, and DRS; facilitate coordination meetings, prepare minutes, and track follow-up actions for both projects. Serve as day-to-day liaison with the JSB implementing partner, tracking field activities and flagging operational risks and issues to the Project Manager. Represent UN-Habitat in relevant Dadaab sector coordination forums including the Shelter/NFI and Infrastructure clusters, and maintain an updated partnership contacts and activity log. Collect and compile contextual field data community feedback, access conditions, local market updates, partner activity, and emerging risks to inform and adapt project implementation. Facilitate multi-stakeholder planning and validation workshops for both EU-funded projects, including logistics, participant mobilisation, agenda preparation, and documentation. Organize community co-design sessions for JSB flood protection infrastructure and flood-resilient shelter prototypes, ensuring inclusive participation of women, youth, PWDs, and the elderly. Qualifications/special skills Education and Exeperience University degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related fields is required. Master's degree is an added advantage At least a Minimum of 3 years of field-based experience in humanitarian, development, or displacement-affected settings in Kenya is required
