Qualifications & Requirements

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or Accounts or related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in warehouse or inventory management.

Experience in feeds, warehouses, FMCG, manufacturing, or agricultural operations is an added advantage.

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong leadership, organizational, and reporting skills.

Inventory Management**
-
Maintain accurate inventory records for feeds, consumables, spare parts, tools, and all departmental items.
-
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
-
Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately captured in the ERP/system.
-
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations.
-
Investigate and report stock variances, damages, losses, and discrepancies.
-
Monitor expiry dates and implement FIFO/FEFO inventory control practices where applicable.
-
Coordinate with procurement and user departments to ensure timely receipt and issuance of materials.
-
Verify all incoming and outgoing stock against approved documentation and system records.
-
Prepare and submit periodic inventory and stock movement reports to management.

Ensure proper labeling, storage, and categorization of inventory items for easy identification and retrieval.
-
Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels in line with operational requirements.
-
Support periodic internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory documentation and records.

Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and damaged stock and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and warehouse procedures in inventory handling.

Coordinate cycle counts and spot checks to improve inventory accuracy and accountability.

Track usage trends and consumption patterns to support forecasting and planning.

Supervise proper housekeeping and organization within storage areas to maintain operational efficiency.

Ensure all stock requisitions, transfers, and returns are processed and documented accurately.

Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient stock movement and distribution.

Train and guide junior store and warehouse staff on inventory handling procedures and system usage
2. Warehouse Operations****

Supervise receiving, storage, issuance, and dispatch activities.
-
Ensure all goods received match approved Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, and invoices.
-
Confirm proper palletization, stacking, labeling, and storage practices.
-
Ensure proper space utilization and warehouse cleanliness standards are maintained.
-
Coordinate loading and offloading activities safely and efficiently.
-
Ensure all warehouse transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP/system in real time.
-
Implement and enforce warehouse SOPs, safety procedures, and operational controls.
-
Conduct routine inspections of warehouse facilities, equipment, and storage conditions.
-
Coordinate inter-warehouse stock transfers and departmental stock requests.
-
Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive, fragile, or hazardous materials where applicable.

Supervise warehouse staff and allocate daily operational tasks effectively.
-
Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of goods according to approved requisitions and schedules.
-
Monitor turnaround times for receiving and dispatch processes to improve efficiency.
-
Maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse movements, transfers, and dispatches.
-
Coordinate maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallets, and weighing scales.
3. FIFO / FEFO Compliance****

Enforce FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) procedures for feeds and sensitive inventory items.

Monitor feed expiry dates and ensure timely utilization.
-
Minimize feed damages, leakages, and wastage during handling and storage.
4. Team Supervision****

Supervise warehouse clerks, loaders, forklift operators, and store attendants.
-
Allocate daily duties and monitor staff productivity and discipline.
-
Support staff training on inventory controls and warehouse practices.
5. Reporting & Documentation****
-
Prepare inventory reports, stock movement reports, variance reports, and consumption analysis.
-
Maintain proper filing of GRNs, SIVs, delivery notes, transfer forms, and stock adjustment records.
-
Provide accurate consumption, variance and cost per dept. reports to management within required timelines.
6. Compliance & Safety****

Ensure compliance with company SOPs, inventory policies, and audit requirements.
-
Maintain health and safety standards within the warehouse and store areas.
-
Coordinate periodic audits and support internal and external audit exercises.
-
Ensure proper handling of hazardous or sensitive materials where applicable.
7. Coordination & Communication**
-
Liaise with procurement, transport, production, finance, and departmental teams on inventory requirements.
-
Coordinate with suppliers during deliveries and discrepancy resolution.
-
Support operational planning through accurate stock visibility and reporting.
