Kitui County is located 170Km to the South East of Nairobi City. It covers an area of about 30,496 km2. It borders Machakos and Makueni Counties to the West, Tana River County to the East, Taita-Taveta County to the South, and Embu and Tharaka- Nithi Counties to the North. General Purpose Reporting to the Board of Directors, the MD will provide strategic leadership, ensure implementation of board decisions, establish management systems aligned to strategic goals, improve operational efficiency, and ensure statutory compliance. Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Bachelor’s degree in: Business Management, Economics, Agribusiness, Water/Environmental/Civil Engineering, Law, Water Resources Mgt, Project Management or related. Master’s degree in relevant discipline –added advantage. Registered with relevant professional body. Certificate in corporate governance (≥4 weeks) OR two CPD certificates. Minimum 15 years experience, with 10 years at senior management level (public/private). Deep understanding of strategic change & reforms in Kenya’s water/sanitation legal framework. Excellent interpersonal & leadership: strategy execution, stakeholder delight, people management.
