About the Role: We are looking for a sharp, tech-savvy Accountant to help us professionalize our finances and scale our operations. You will be the backbone of our financial health, ensuring our service delivery remains profitable, compliant, and efficient. This is not just a bookkeeping role; it is a position for a finance partner who understands operational data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage invoicing for commercial cleaning contracts and moving services; ensure timely collections and proactive follow-up on overdue accounts.
  • Accounts Payable: Process payments for payroll (fixed-shift and project-based teams), equipment maintenance, cleaning supplies, fuel, and operational overheads.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file all relevant tax returns (VAT, PAYE, etc.) and ensure strict adherence to local statutory requirements.
  • Asset & Operational Control: * Maintain an accurate register of company assets (equipment, trucks).

Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies to prevent wastage.

Perform daily/weekly bank and M-Pesa reconciliations.

  • Job Costing & Analysis: Analyze the cost of labor, materials, and fuel per project to provide insights into service-line profitability and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and provide necessary documentation for external audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certification: CPA or ACCA qualification (fully or partially qualified).
  • Experience: 2+ years in accounting, preferably within the service, hospitality, or logistics industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
