So, what will the Logistics/Ordnance Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Terrestris do?

As the Logistics/Ordnance Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will provide specialized support for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) operations by managing logistics, equipment readiness, and technical coordination for mission-critical activities. In this role, you will support Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Eight (EODMU8) in Rota, Spain, by ensuring ordnance equipment, supplies, and operational resources are properly maintained, tracked, and available for deployment. Additionally, you will advise leadership on ordnance procedures, safety standards, and operational requirements while coordinating with military personnel and support teams. This role is essential to maintaining mission readiness and supporting safe, efficient EOD operations in both training and real-world environments.

What does a typical day look like for a Logistics/Ordnance Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME)?

You Will

Provide comprehensive oversight of the 3M and Planned Maintenance System Scheduler (SKED) programs, managing the maintenance of all small arms and crew served weapons systems for EODMU8 and EODMU8 DETACHMENT EUROPE. Conduct and document 3M Spot Checks to validate the quality and completion of maintenance performed within the work center for both units in regard to small arms and crew served weapons, ensuring equipment readiness and compliance with the Force Maintenance Management Program. Execute all inventory, receipt, and management duties for AA&E as per NAVSU P-724 and OIS for EODMU8 and EODMU8 DETACHMENT EUROPE (must obtain active OIS access within one 60 days of the contract being awarded). Conduct monthly and annual inventories of AA&E as per NAVSUP P-724 and report status to EODMU-8 Readiness and Training Officer. Report any discrepancies in OIS inventory to the EOD GROUP AA&E Manager. Coordinate with EODGRU TWO and Naval Munitions Command, Rota (NMC Rota) for the issue and receipt of CWS and AA&E. Monitor CWS inventory and serve as an AA&E Commodity Manager in Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) to ensure the proper inventory accounting and readiness reporting for CWS in-use by EODMU-8 and EODMU8 DETACHMENT EUROPE. Administer the SKED database for EODMU8 and EODMU8 DETACHMENT EUROPE CWS (must obtain and maintain 3M Qualifications up to 304 (Division Officer/Maintenance Supervisor) within 90 days of the contract being awarded). Oversee the physical maintenance of all weapons systems for EODMU8 and EODMU8 DETACHMENT EUROPE. Conduct formal 3M Spot Checks to ensure adherence to MRC cards and safety protocols and report completion to EODMU8 Readiness and Training Officer and 3M Coordinator.

Expertise in Navy Expeditionary ordnance management and logistics support services. OIS Course of Instruction completion upon award. 3M Qualifications up to Level 304 (within 90 days of award). AHA First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Annual Lautenberg Act notarized certification.
