The intern will assist in monitoring systems and networks for security incidents, analyzing logs, and supporting incident response activities. Day-to-day tasks include helping perform vulnerability assessments, supporting application and network security reviews, and contributing to documentation of security policies, procedures, and reports. The intern will collaborate with engineering and IT teams to implement security controls, test defenses, and support security awareness initiatives. Under the guidance of senior team members, the intern will also research emerging threats, tools, and techniques to help strengthen the company’s security posture. Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security principles, including confidentiality, integrity, availability, risk, and threat modeling. Knowledge of Network Security concepts such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure protocols, and basic network troubleshooting. Understanding of Application Security fundamentals, including common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and secure coding best practices. Experience or coursework in Vulnerability Assessment, including using basic scanning tools, interpreting results, and suggesting remediation approaches. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field. Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Unix and Windows), basic scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell), and version control tools is beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured processes and documentation standards. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote, team-oriented environment.
