1. Alternative Distribution Strategy**

  • Develop and execute the alternative distribution strategy in line with overall business objectives.

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distribution channels and strategic partners.

  • Drive diversification of revenue streams through innovative market approaches.

  • Build scalable and sustainable channel growth models.

  1. Strategic Partnerships & Business Development****
  • Lead partnership acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts across key market segments.

  • Develop and manage relationships with banks, SACCOs, MFIs, corporates, aggregators, fintechs, and affinity partners.

  • Negotiate and structure commercial partnership agreements.

  • Identify emerging market opportunities and strategic alliances to accelerate growth.

  1. Revenue Growth & Commercial Performance****
  • Deliver growth in premiums, customer acquisition, and market penetration through alternative channels.

  • Drive productivity and profitability across all partnership channels.

  • Monitor channel performance and implement interventions to optimize results.

  • Support product positioning and go-to-market execution for partnership-led solutions.

  1. Market Development & Innovation****
  • Drive market intelligence initiatives to identify customer trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customer-centric products and value propositions.

  • Champion digital and ecosystem-based distribution opportunities.

  1. Stakeholder Management****
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support business objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Risk, and Product teams to ensure seamless execution.

  • Represent the company in industry engagements, partner forums, and strategic meetings.

  1. Team Leadership & Capability Development****
  • Lead and develop high-performing business development and partnerships teams.

  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and execution excellence.

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership support to direct reports.

  1. Governance, Risk & Compliance**
  • Ensure all partnerships and distribution activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Maintain strong governance standards and ethical business practices.

  • Oversee reporting, pipeline management, and performance tracking across all channels.
