Job Summary The Head of Marketing is responsible for leading Aquantuo’s marketing strategy and execution across all countries, routes, services, and member segments. The role will drive brand visibility, lead generation, member engagement, retention, reactivation, sales support, and market positioning. This role requires a commercially minded and execution-focused leader who can translate Aquantuo’s business priorities into clear campaigns, strong content, route-specific marketing, member education, and measurable growth outcomes. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Growth Develop and lead Aquantuo’s marketing strategy across all operating markets. Align marketing activities with revenue, route growth, retention, and brand objectives. Identify high-potential routes, services, and member segments for focused campaigns. Ensure marketing directly supports sales, member growth, and company strategy. Brand Positioning & Visibility Strengthen Aquantuo’s brand as a trusted, tech-enabled cross-border logistics and commerce partner. Ensure consistent messaging, tone, visuals, and positioning across all markets and channels. Protect and improve the company’s reputation through clear, accurate, and proactive communication. Ensure the brand promise, Fast. Simple. Borderless., is reflected in marketing execution. Campaign Planning & Execution Plan and oversee campaigns across Aquantuo’s routes, services, and markets. Lead campaigns for E-commerce, 3PL, Intra-Africa, warehousing, shipping, customs support, last-mile delivery, and value-added services. Develop campaign calendars covering route promotions, seasonal opportunities, webinars, retention, reactivation, and member education. Ensure campaigns are executed on time, aligned with business priorities, and measured for impact. Digital Content & Communications Oversee content across social media, website, email, WhatsApp, blogs, webinars, newsletters, and digital campaigns. Ensure all content is clear, accurate, member-focused, and commercially relevant. Guide educational content around shipping processes, customs, documentation, timelines, pricing, delivery, and service options. Ensure consistent communication around route updates, shipping schedules, policies, and service announcements. Lead Generation & Sales Enablement Work closely with Sales and Country Leads to generate qualified leads and support conversion. Create marketing materials that help sales teams explain Aquantuo’s services, routes, value proposition, and competitive advantage. Support campaigns targeting SMEs, merchants, importers, exporters, diaspora members, corporate accounts, and key accounts. Track marketing contribution to inquiries, leads, reactivations, and sales support. Member Engagement, Retention & Reactivation Develop campaigns that improve member engagement, retention, and reactivation. Partner with internal departments and Country teams to identify recurring member concerns and communication gaps. Support service recovery messaging where service failure or other member concerns arise. Use member feedback and behavior to improve marketing, education, and communication. Market Research & Competitive Intelligence Monitor competitor pricing, routes, campaigns, service promises, and positioning. Coordinate periodic competitor tests in key markets. Use market insights to improve Aquantuo’s campaigns, sales support, and positioning. Identify trends and opportunities across logistics, e-commerce, trade, and African consumer markets. Reporting & Analytics Define and track marketing KPIs across all markets. Report on campaign performance, reach, engagement, inquiries, leads, conversions, reactivation, and route-level impact. Provide leadership with clear insights, recommendations, and next steps. Use data to guide decisions and improve marketing effectiveness. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and manage the marketing team. Set clear priorities, deadlines, expectations, and performance standards. Build a culture of creativity, accountability, collaboration, consistency, and continuous improvement. Develop team members and ensure they understand how their work supports growth and member experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with all departments and leadership. Ensure marketing is aligned with operational capacity, route realities, pricing, service timelines, and member experience. Ensure marketing campaigns are supported by proper sales follow-through and internal coordination. Marketing Operations & Documentation Maintain marketing calendars, campaign trackers, asset libraries, templates, reports, and brand guidelines. Document campaign workflows, approval processes, reporting routines, and marketing procedures. Ensure marketing tools, access, assets, and platforms are properly organized and managed.
