This is enhanced by our dedicated team of recruitment, screening, and management experts.JOB PURPOSE: The successful candidate will lead the organization’s marketing, communications, digital engagement, and storytelling efforts across multiple platforms and audiences. The role combines strategic communications planning with hands-on content creation, event communications, member engagement, and brand management. The ideal individual should be a strong writer, storyteller, and project manager who is passionate about creating engaging digital content, elevating organizational visibility, and building meaningful audience connections. The role includes collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and member organizations across Africa. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement integrated marketing, communications, and brand engagement strategies aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. Lead and manage communications across digital platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, email campaigns, and online marketing initiatives. Create and oversee compelling digital and multimedia content, including social media posts, reels, interviews, blogs, newsletters, promotional materials, and event coverage. Manage and strengthen the organization’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication channels, platforms, and marketing materials. Apply strong creative design and visual communication skills in the development of marketing materials, presentations, graphics, branding assets, and digital campaigns. Promote conferences, professional learning programmes, webinars, campaigns, membership initiatives, and other organizational events through strategic marketing and communication efforts. Support membership growth, retention, and stakeholder engagement through targeted outreach and communication strategies. Coordinate content production and campaigns with designers, photographers, videographers, media partners, and other creative service providers. Manage website updates and continuously improve digital storytelling, user engagement, and audience experience. Coordinate media relations, public relations activities, sponsorship visibility, fundraising campaigns, and strategic partnership communications where applicable. Monitor marketing and communication performance metrics, analyze engagement data, and prepare impact and performance reports with actionable recommendations. Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, sponsors, and service providers to enhance organizational visibility, outreach, and engagement. Occasionally travel to events and programmes across Africa to support field communications, storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and content creation. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CAREER EXPERIENCE Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience. Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and campaign management skills. Experience managing multiple communication platforms and audiences. Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media engagement, and brand management. Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Design Suite, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics. Skills in Content Management Systems (CMS) navigation, basic graphic design and layout, and foundational Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams. Preferred: Experience working within education, nonprofits, membership organizations, or school environments. Familiarity with the African education landscape. Experience with podcasts, blogs, event marketing, or executive communications is an added advantage.
