By eliminating the need to handle cash eWATER cuts out nepotism, misuse of funds and the reliance on village water committees, and ensures water systems are professionally maintained for a very affordable amount per person.Role Overview eWATER is looking for a highly capable and strategic Senior Communications & Marketing Manager to lead the development and delivery of our marketing, communications and impact storytelling strategy. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can think strategically, work in partnership with multiple stakeholders, and execute to a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping how eWATER communicates its work, impact and growth across Kenya, Tanzania and The Gambia. Key stakeholders/ audiences include rural communities, funders, sponsors and eWATER colleagues. You’ll lead our communications and marketing strategy, create compelling stories from the field, manage our digital channels, produce high-quality written and visual content, support funder and stakeholder Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor’s degree Experience with creating and delivering a Marketing & Communications plan for a fast growing start-up (tech start up experience preferred) Strong photography and videography skills (portfolio required) and experience growing a brands social media presence through engagement and content creation Excellent writing and communication abilities Experience in data collection and impact reporting Field experience conducting surveys, capturing stories and engaging rural communities in Kenya Proficiency with Canva or similar design tools
