Position Overview This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mobile Blockchain Engineer based in Nairobi County, Kenya. We are seeking a talented Mobile Blockchain Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that integrate blockchain technology, digital wallets, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps).
Responsibilities Design and develop high-performance mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. Integrate blockchain networks, cryptocurrency wallets, and Web3 technologies into mobile applications. Develop and interact with smart contracts. Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver innovative blockchain solutions. Optimize application performance, security, and scalability. Implement secure authentication and transaction-signing mechanisms. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across mobile and blockchain systems. Stay current with emerging blockchain technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of mobile application development experience. Experience with Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, or Java. Strong understanding of blockchain architecture and decentralized systems. Experience with smart contract development using Solidity or Rust. Familiarity with cryptocurrency wallets and Web3 integrations. Experience working with REST APIs and cloud-based services. Strong understanding of software security principles.
Preferred Qualifications Experience building fintech, payment, DeFi, NFT, or cryptocurrency applications. Knowledge of blockchain security and smart contract auditing. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
