Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Unit Manager, based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Unit Manager will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing a team of professionals to achieve set targets and deliver exceptional results. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to drive team performance, mentoring and training team members, monitoring individual and group achievements, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The Unit Manager will also analyze performance metrics and create actionable insights to improve team efficiency and meet company objectives.

Qualifications

Team management and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members towards achieving collective goals. Strategic planning and decision-making expertise to create and implement performance-driving initiatives. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to foster positive relationships with team members and stakeholders. Proficiency in analyzing data, monitoring performance metrics, and developing actionable insights for improvement. Understanding of the insurance industry, including products, compliance, and customer service standards. Proven organizational skills with a capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in a managerial role within the insurance or financial services sector is an advantage. A results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
