Amref Health Africa in Kenya is the country programme office of Amref Health Africa, Africa’s largest International Health NGO. This is the largest and oldest country programme in Africa with an average annual budget of USD 40million. We have 19 innovative products and project models that have successfully been implemented and transformed 5.4 million lives.Main purpose of the job The TVET Directorate of Amref International University wishes to engage TVET trainers on a part time. The trainer is expected to be available to teach, assess and mentor students. Principal Responsibilities: Instruct trainees in the specific course(s)/units in adherence to the respective curriculum and occupational standards; Plan, conduct and assess practicals in the course units assigned; Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and give lecture notes; Prepare internal exams, conduct validation and of the exams; Carry out continuous assessments; Supervise and assess trainee(s) in the course area; Mark, grade and enter the grades into ERP for the assigned units; Supervise trainees on industrial attachment; Prepare trainees for external exams by providing practical technical skills as required for effective competency acquisition; Maintaining appropriate records and making them available as required by the directorate and TVET CDACC or any other relevant body; Adhere to the exam preparation and processing schedule; Attendance to all class contact hours as assigned. Mentoring of students; Examination invigilation, both internal and external; Monitoring class attendance records; Any other duty as may be assigned by the HOD or Director. Qualifications We are looking for Part-Time Lecturers in the following areas: Community Health Bachelor of Science in Community Health and Development Relevant teaching experience of at least 2 years in TVET institution Must be a holder of a Certificate in Pedagogy or registered by TVETA as a trainer 2 years of industry experience will be an added advantage
