The Role A full-time, on-site role for a Pizza Chef at Peponi's, working closely with the Head Chef to keep dough, prep, and station to a world-class standard. You'll help train newer pizzaioli as our team grows. We want someone obsessive about consistency — with deep knowledge of dough, fermentation, and the wood-fired oven. 

Responsibilities Prepare and cook Neapolitan-style pizzas to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality in every pizza Manage the dough-making process daily — fermentation, proofing, shaping — with care and precision Maintain and operate the wood-fired oven, controlling temperature and timing with confidence Collaborate on menu development, experimenting with toppings, ingredients, and seasonal specials Train and guide kitchen team members to uphold Peponi’s standards of quality and service Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food safety at all times Monitor inventory, manage prep lists, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure freshness and efficiency Bring passion, curiosity, and pride to your craft — setting the tone for a kitchen built on teamwork and respect

Skills Proven experience as a Pizza Chef, Pizzaiolo, or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant Deep understanding of dough fermentation and wood-fired oven techniques A passion for simple, honest food made exceptionally well Strong attention to detail and consistency under pressure Leadership qualities and a collaborative spirit — you thrive in a team that shares ideas and energy Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and professional standards Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
