Kibwezi-Makindu Water & Sanitation Company Ltd (KIBMAWASCO) is a private company limited by shares and incorporated on August 16, 2011, in a merger of the Kibwezi-Mtito Andei Water Company and the Makindu Water Company. The company provides water services within the towns of Kibwezi, Makindu, Kambu, and Mtito Andei and their environs. The company’s area of jurisdiction is 2,450 km2 and KIBMAWASCO covers about 308 km2 (13% coverage). The KIBMAWASCO service area has a population of approximately 285,530 and KIBMAWASCO reports that it is currently serving ~102,784 people, representing 36% of the population.Objective To implement and maintain ICT systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient digital operations that support KIBMAWASCO's organizational functions. Reporting to the ICT Officer. Renumeration- It will be as guided by the company salary structure. Duties and Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems. Provide technical support and user assistance for ICT-related issues. Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality of ICT equipment. Assist in maintaining and updating the organization's website and intranet. Support data backup, recovery, and cybersecurity protocols. Maintain inventory of ICT assets and ensure proper documentation. Assist in the implementation of new ICT projects and upgrades. Ensure compliance with ICT policies, standards, and procedures. Prepare periodic reports on ICT support activities and system status Perform any other ICT-related duties as assigned. Requirements for Appointment Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution. Diploma or degree in GIS will be an added advantage. Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience in a comparable position. Knowledge of ICT policies, data protection, and public sector digital standards Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
