They specialize in air and sea cargo from key global hubs e.g., Dubai, Guangzhou, London, Milan, Johannesburg, Istanbul and Amsterdam. They move 80-100 tonnes of air freight monthly (commercial and personal items) and one – 40ft container daily, providing full end-to-end visibility from warehouse receipt through customs clearance to final delivery. Our client is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take full operational responsibility, professionalize their processes and drive their next phase of growth. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead all 7 departments i.e., the sales department, the customer service department, the transport department, the marketing department, the call centre department, the warehouse department and the operations department. Deliver 20 to 30% year-on-year revenue growth while optimizing profitability. Enhance client experience – especially faster resolutions of delays, breakages and claims. Oversee air freight, sea containers, warehousing, transport, and customs clearance. Build strong global partnerships and implement technology for better tracking and efficiency. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CAREER EXPERIENCE: 10-15 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics, with strong experience in air freight and containerized sea freight. Minimum 5 years of experience in executive leadership roles e.g., GM, Director, CEO roles with direct P&L responsibility. Proven track record in client service excellence and operational improvement in logistics. Deep knowledge of the Kenyan/East African regulatory environment (KRA, KPA, KEBS). A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or a related field: An MBA or CILT/FIATA certification would be an added advantage. Core Competencies: Strong leadership skills. Good commercial acumen.
