Job Summary:****



The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth and building relationships with customers in the solar energy and lift installation industry.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise and business acumen to identify customer needs, propose appropriate solutions, and close deals.

The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Regional Sales Executive to achieve revenue targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and expand market share.

 

Key Responsibilities:****



Sales & Business Development:****



· Identify and develop new business opportunities in solar energy solutions and lift installation projects.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors.

· Conduct market research and competitor analysis to develop strategic sales plans.

· Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.

· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals effectively.

· Collaborate with the Regional Sales Executive to develop and execute sales strategies.

· Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and objectives.

Technical Support & Solution Design:****



· Provide technical expertise in solar energy systems and lift installations to customers and sales teams.

· Work with the engineering and project teams to design tailored solutions for clients.

· Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to assess project requirements.

· Offer after-sales support and technical assistance to customers.

Customer Relationship Management:****



· Maintain regular communication with existing and potential clients.

· Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.

· Develop long-term relationships with key accounts to foster repeat business and referrals.

Reporting & Coordination:****



· Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for the Regional Sales Executive.

· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and project progress in the CRM system.

· Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure smooth project execution.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):****



  1. Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  2. Lead Conversion Rate: Increase the percentage of leads converted into sales.

  3. Customer Acquisition: Grow the client base in assigned territories.

  4. Proposal Turnaround Time: Reduce the time taken to submit proposals and quotations to clients.

  5. Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Maintain a high CSAT rating based on client feedback.

  6. Project Closure Rate: Successfully close a high percentage of initiated projects.

  7. Market Penetration: Expand market share in the solar and lift installation sectors.

  8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Effectively coordinate with engineering, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.

 

Objectives and Key Results:****



1: Increase Sales Revenue and Market Share****



· Achieve a 20% increase in sales revenue within the next fiscal year.

· Secure at least 5 new key accounts per quarter.

· Expand market share by 10% in the assigned region.

2: Enhance Customer Satisfaction and Retention****



· Achieve a 100% customer satisfaction score from post-sales feedback.

· Increase repeat business by 15% from existing clients.

· Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours to improve response time and engagement.

3: Improve Sales Process Efficiency****



· Reduce average proposal turnaround time.

· Maintain an updated CRM with accurate data on leads and sales activities.

· Increase the lead conversion rate from time to time.

4: Strengthen Technical Expertise and Market Positioning****



· Participate and facilitate technical training sessions for clients and sales teams.

· Participate in industry exhibitions or conferences annually to increase brand visibility.

 

Qualifications & Experience:****



· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or Business with technical sales experience.

· 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in solar energy or lift installations.

· Strong understanding of solar PV systems, elevator mechanics, and installation processes.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

· Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.
