Overview A leading, asset-intensive distribution and services business with a multi-country footprint is seeking a Business Head to lead and scale its operations. This role will take full ownership of a complex, service-led operating model, overseeing a network of sites and driving both commercial and operational performance across the region. Role Purpose To lead and grow a multi-site, multi-country business by driving profitability, operational excellence, and customer-centric service delivery, while building a strong leadership culture across all sites. Key Responsibilities P&L Ownership & Commercial Leadership Take full accountability for the end-to-end P&L across multiple countries Drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimisation initiatives Identify new market opportunities and expand the business footprint Operational Leadership Oversee a distributed network of service and operational sites Ensure consistent service delivery, efficiency, and performance across all locations Implement best practices and standardisation across markets Strategy & Growth Define and execute regional growth strategies aligned to group objectives Improve overall business performance through operational and commercial initiatives Drive continuous improvement and transformation programmes People & Leadership Lead, mentor, and build high-performing leadership teams across geographies Instil a strong performance culture with clear accountability and KPIs Strengthen leadership capability at site and regional levels Customer & Stakeholder Management Maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality Represent the business with external stakeholders and partners Governance & Compliance Ensure adherence to group standards, policies, and regulatory requirements Drive strong operational governance across all markets Key Outcomes Sustainable revenue growth and improved profitability High-performing, well-managed multi-site operations Strong leadership bench across all countries Consistent service quality and customer satisfaction Scalable platform for further regional expansion Requirements Experience 10–15+ years’ experience in a senior operational or general management role Proven track record of full P&L ownership in a multi-site or multi-country environment Experience managing asset-heavy, service-driven businesses Strong commercial acumen combined with operational depth Leadership Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills Hands-on, execution-focused leadership style Other Experience operating across African or emerging markets is advantageous Strong track record of driving growth and operational transformation
