Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Salesperson will identify and qualify prospective SME clients, conduct product demos, and present Hasibu’s financial solutions to decision-makers. Daily responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, following up on leads, preparing proposals, and negotiating contract terms in alignment with company guidelines. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in the CRM, collaborating with product and customer success teams to relay client feedback, and meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets. The Salesperson will represent Hasibu at client meetings, events, and partner engagements to build strong, long-term customer relationships.
Qualifications Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably selling software, fintech, or financial products to SMEs. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with confidence speaking to business owners and executives. Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities. Comfort using CRM tools and basic productivity software to track activities, leads, and performance metrics. Solid understanding of SME business operations and financial needs in the African context is highly beneficial. Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, and customer success. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Fluency in English; proficiency in Swahili or other regional languages is an advantage.
