As a Property Scout, you will physically visit candidate properties, verify essential amenities, document the space, and serve as the primary guide for our clients. A major part of your success will come from your ability to independently run and post properties directly onto the Househunt platform. Because you earn commissions when clients show interest in your specific listings, your ability to capture stunning, high-quality photos, present well during in-person tours, and build local networks is your ultimate tool for maximizing your income.
Key Responsibilities**
Client Tours & Representation:** Meet directly with clients to conduct guided, professional property tours. You will act as the face of Househunt Kenya, ensuring clients feel confident and well-informed throughout the viewing process.**
Relationship Building:** Forge and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with local community members, caretakers, landlords, and property developers to secure the best exclusive listings before they hit the open market.**
Independent Listing & Sourcing:** Proactively walk target neighborhoods, identify vacant units or new developments, and post them directly onto the Househunt web platform and Android app.**
High-Quality Digital Documentation:** Act as a digital creator for real estate. Capture well-lit, professional photos and steady, comprehensive video walkthroughs that make clients want to rent the space before they even visit.**
Property Verification:** Conduct physical site visits to inspect properties, strictly checking for water reliability, electricity, security, and overall condition before listing.**
Requirements
Visual Media Skills (Crucial):** A strong eye for photography and videography. You must know how to frame a room, utilize natural light, and capture steady video walkthroughs that drive client engagement.**
Interpersonal & Sales Skills:** Excellent communication skills. You must be comfortable meeting new clients, leading tours, and negotiating or building rapport with property developers and locals.**
Equipment:** A reliable smartphone with an excellent, high-resolution camera.**
Local Expertise:** Deep familiarity with specific Nairobi neighborhoods. Your neighborhood knowledge helps you find the best hidden gems and guide clients accurately.**
