Our strategic partners include specialists in medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery and general practitioners among others.Job Summary Pearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking for an Optical Technician to assist in the provision of quality optical services by dispensing optical products, fitting and repairing eyewear, conducting basic optical measurements and ensuring excellent customer care for patients. Key Responsibilities Interpret and dispense prescriptions issued by Optometrists or Ophthalmologists. Assist patients in selecting appropriate frames, lenses and optical accessories. Take accurate measurements including pupillary distance (PD), segment height and frame fitting measurements. Fit, adjust, repair and maintain spectacles and other optical devices.  Maintain Inventory records of frames, lenses, contact lenses and optical supplies. Receive inspect and verify optical orders for accuracy before dispensing. Ensure optical equipment and tools are clean, functional and properly maintained. Maintain accurate patient and dispensing records in accordance with the hospital`s policies. Support Stock-taking and procurement processes for optical supplies. Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control procedures and maintain a clean working environment. Participate in quality improvement activities within the optical department Minimum Qualifications Diploma or Certificate in Optical Technology or Opticianry from a recognized institution. ‎Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable. ‎ At least 1- 2 years of experience in an Optical clinic, hospital or eyewear retail setting is an added advantage.
