Role Summary:
The Crew Change Driver will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and hospitable transfer of seafarers between ports, airports, hotels, and medical facilities. Beyond driving, the position requires excellent customer service, basic logistical coordination, and the flexibility to operate across a 24/7 schedule to match vessel turnarounds and flight schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
Safe Driving & Navigation
Provide safe, defensive, and smooth transit for crew members under various traffic and weather conditions. Demonstrate expert control of manual transmission vehicles across all terrains, heavy traffic, and port environments. Adhere strictly to all local traffic laws, port authority regulations, and company safety policies. Ensure the assigned vehicle is well-maintained, clean, fuelled, and pre-checked daily for roadworthiness. Maintain accurate mileage, trip logs, and fuel receipts.
Crew Hospitality & Care
Act as the "face of the company," offering a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanour to crew members who may be fatigued from long travel or sea voyages. Assist passengers with heavy luggage handling during embarkation and disembarkation. Provide clear instructions to crew regarding transit times, safety protocols, and terminal procedures. Handle sensitive situations (such as transporting sick or injured crew to hospitals) with empathy, discretion, and patience.
Coordination & Logistics Support
Liaise directly with the Port Agency/Operations team to receive daily schedules and last-minute flight or vessel updates. Coordinate directly with hotels to check room availability, confirm reservations, and facilitate smooth check-in/check-outs for the crew. Update ISS Operations control desk timely the commencement of each task, each progress of events until the task is completed. This updating process can be performed on MS teams group or any other communication platform that our operations is linked on electronically. Advise crew members on basic port agency guidelines, local customs, and security protocols during their transit. Manage time effectively to ensure zero delays for flight departures or vessel sailing times.
Availability & Operational Flexibility
Operate on a flexible shift roster, including readiness to handle crew transfers during odd hours (late nights, early mornings, weekends, and public holidays) based on vessel schedules. Remain on call to respond swiftly to urgent crew changes or medical emergencies.
Candidate Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License: Class B with a clean driving record. Manual Transmission Proficiency: Must have proven, long-term experience driving manual vehicles. Practical assessments will be conducted. Minimum of 3 – 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably within the maritime, tourism, corporate shuttle, or hospitality sectors. Ability to maintain focus, patience, and alertness during night drives or long waiting periods. Certified training in defensive or safety driving is a distinct advantage. Strong coordination and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and during irregular hours. Diploma in Marine Studies. Experience handling international clients or crew is an added advantage.
