We are seeking a highly connected professional with an established network within the UN, NGO, donor, and government sectors to help identify opportunities, build relationships, and position MMT Alliance for future contracts and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with UN agencies, NGOs, donors, embassies, and government stakeholders.

  • Arrange meetings and introductions with key decision-makers.

  • Identify upcoming tenders, projects, and partnership opportunities.

  • Gather market intelligence and procurement insights.

  • Represent MMT Alliance at industry and networking events.

  • Support business development and strategic partnership activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in business development, partnerships, procurement, or donor-funded projects.

  • Existing network within UN agencies, NGOs, donors, or government institutions.

  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.

Role Summary

The Strategic Partnerships & UN/NGO Engagement Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with UN agencies, NGOs, donor organisations, embassies, government institutions, and development partners across East Africa. The role focuses on identifying business opportunities, securing strategic introductions, gathering market intelligence, supporting tender positioning activities, and helping MMT Alliance expand its presence within the humanitarian, development, and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with UN agencies, NGOs, donor organisations, embassies, and government stakeholders.

  • Identify and pursue upcoming tenders, framework agreements, procurement opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

  • Arrange meetings, introductions, and capability presentations with procurement teams, programme managers, and decision-makers.

  • Represent MMT Alliance at conferences, networking events, donor forums, and industry meetings.

  • Gather and provide intelligence on upcoming projects, procurement plans, and funding opportunities.

  • Identify and establish consortium, joint venture, and local implementation partnerships where required.

  • Promote MMT Alliance's procurement, logistics, consulting, construction, ICT, humanitarian, and supply chain capabilities.

  • Support business development, market-entry, and tender positioning activities across East Africa.

  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide regular progress reports to management.

  • Assist in strengthening MMT Alliance's reputation and visibility within the UN, NGO, donor, and government sectors.

  • Number of stakeholder meetings conducted.

  • Number of new strategic relationships established.

  • Number of qualified opportunities identified.

  • Number of capability presentations secured.

  • Number of partnership agreements facilitated.
