Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day site operations, including supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants, and ensuring work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards. Responsibilities include monitoring quality control and compliance with structural and civil engineering requirements, enforcing safety procedures, and resolving technical issues that arise on site. The role will involve preparing and updating site documentation, measurements, and reports, as well as supporting project planning, progress tracking, and timely delivery of milestones. The Site Engineer will also liaise regularly with project managers and design teams to address design clarifications, implement engineering solutions, and support smooth project execution. Qualifications

Strong on-site construction supervision skills, with proven experience managing day-to-day site activities and coordinating multiple trades. Solid knowledge of structural engineering principles, with experience applying structural and civil engineering standards on active construction projects. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and site workers. Background in civil engineering or a related field, with experience working in multidisciplinary construction environments. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline; professional registration or progress toward it is an advantage. Experience with construction drawings, specifications, and building codes, and proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents. Familiarity with site quality control procedures, material inspections, and documentation of tests and approvals. Working knowledge of relevant engineering and construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, structural design tools, MS Project or similar) is beneficial. Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards on construction sites. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
