They will build trusted client relationships, grow the practice through business development and thought leadership, and develop a high-performing actuarial team that anticipates and responds to regulatory and market changes. What you will do Client delivery & technical excellence Lead actuarial valuation and reserve modelling assignments for statutory and management reporting; produce audit-ready outputs and clear documentation. Validate models, review assumptions, perform sensitivity and scenario analysis, and present findings to senior client stakeholders. Provide advice on capital management, reinsurance structures and actuarial governance frameworks. Ensure technical quality: peer review, documentation, and adherence to professional standards. Modelling & methodology development Develop and refine actuarial models, methodologies and templates that scale across client engagements. Integrate advanced analytics where they add demonstrable value. Maintain awareness of best-practice actuarial techniques and regulatory changes. Business development & market eminence Identify and qualify new opportunities; contribute to proposals, pricing and presentations; lead client pitches as required. Produce thought leadership to raise the practice’s profile. Monitor market/regulatory trends and translate them into new or enhanced service offerings. People leadership & capability building Coach, mentor and upskill junior team members. Drive knowledge-sharing and quality assurance practices across the team. Act as a brand ambassador to attract talent. Cross-functional collaboration Work with audit, assurance, consulting and data teams to deliver integrated solutions. Provide actuarial expertise on cross-service engagements and support internal bids. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science. Significant progress with actuarial exams (at least 7 actuarial papers) Minimum 6 years’ actuarial experience. Demonstrable experience developing and managing teams. Strong technical modelling capability — experience with actuarial modelling software e.g. Prophet, AXIS, or equivalent and competence in programming for analytics (VBA, R, Python or similar). Proven ability to produce auditâÂÂquality reports and clear, persuasive presentations for senior stakeholders. Practical experience improving engagement effectiveness and efficiency (process improvements, standard templates, automation or tooling). Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally as required. Behavioural competencies Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
