Afstor Energy Limited is a clean energy and clean cooking company focused on decentralized renewable energy solutions for emerging markets. We are scaling local assembly, deployment and financing operations for our solar-powered cooking solutions in Kenya and across Africa through strategic partnerships, distribution networks and institutional collaborations.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial management, strategic financing, investor relations and financial compliance functions. The CFO will report to the Chief Executive Officer and play a critical role in supporting our operational scaling, securing impact funding partnerships, and establishing the financial foundations for regional expansion.

This role is ideal for a finance leader with experience in development finance, impact investment structures and international funding mechanisms commonly used in renewable energy and clean cooking sectors.

**Financial Management & Strategy ****

**• Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting and financial reporting activities **

• Develop and implement financial strategies supporting operational growth and expansion

• Manage cash flow, working capital and financial forecasting

• Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting

Funding & Investor Relations ********

**• Coordinate fundraising activities and investor communication **

• Support engagement with impact investors, development finance institutions (DFIs) and strategic funding partners

• Prepare financial models, investment materials and due diligence documentation

• Participate in negotiations related to financing structures, grants and investment opportunities

Impact Finance & Development Funding ********

**• Maintain understanding of impact funding structures and blended finance mechanisms **

• Support applications and reporting related to grants, carbon finance and development funding

• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements commonly associated with impact investors and DFIs

• Coordinate financial reporting for sustainability and impact measurement purposes

Accounting & Compliance ********

**• Oversee accounting, statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit coordination **

• Ensure compliance with Kenyan financial regulations and internal financial controls

• Coordinate external auditors, tax advisors and financial service providers

• Implement and maintain strong financial governance procedures

Operational & Commercial Support ********

**• Support operational teams with financial planning and cost analysis **

• Monitor product costing, margins and operational financial performance

• Support financing partner structures and client financing programs

• Contribute to commercial negotiations and partnership structuring

Qualifications ********

**• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field **

• Professional financial qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) is preferred

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in finance leadership roles

• Experience with renewable energy, infrastructure, manufacturing or development finance sectors is highly preferred

• Understanding of DFI funding mechanisms, impact finance and blended finance structures

• Experience working with international investors, grant funding or donor-funded projects is an advantage
