Reeds Africa consult (RAC) consultants have a combined experience of over 18 years and are very well capable of achieving sustainable, productive performance growth with full compliance as your HR partner of choice.Job Description Manage all day-to-day dairy farm operations, including herd health, breeding, feeding, milking, pasture management, and farm maintenance. Develop and implement production plans to maximize milk yield, quality, and profitability. Supervise and manage farm employees, ensuring high levels of productivity and discipline Maintain accurate farm records, budgets, inventory, production statistics, and financial reports. Ensure compliance with animal health, biosecurity, environmental, and occupational safety standards. Manage procurement and efficient utilization of farm inputs, equipment, and resources. Liaise with veterinarians, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Identify and implement innovations and best practices in dairy farming. Milk Value Addition Responsibilities Lead the establishment and management of milk value-addition initiatives. Oversee processing of dairy products such as yoghurt, fermented milk, cream, butter, ghee, cheese, or other commercially viable products. Ensure quality assurance and food safety standards in dairy processing operations. Develop market linkages and strategies to maximize revenue from value-added dairy products. Job Requirements Degree or Diploma in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Veterinary Science, Agribusiness, or a related field. Minimum 5–7 years’ experience managing a commercial dairy farm. Experience in milk processing and value addition is essential. Strong knowledge of dairy herd management, breeding, nutrition, animal health, and milk production systems. Experience managing farm budgets, staff, and operational performance. Familiarity with modern dairy technologies and farm management systems. Key Competencies Leadership and people management.
